Ken Gibson – One of the founders of Alexander Gibson, Ken has wide experience in property management, development, and residential sales, gained from a property career of over 20 years. Born and raised in Harrogate, Ken uses his extensive knowledge of the housing market in the area to provide accurate valuations and to advise clients on which marketing strategy will work best for a property in their location. Ken is a Member of the National Federation of Property Professionals and a Member of the National Association of Estate Agents Propertymark.
Best AG moment – ‘On Christmas Day 2014 my wife was working abroad, so I decided to come into the office and see if there were any enquiries. To my surprise there was an emailed offer waiting for me, on a bungalow in Hampsthwaite owned by a couple in New Zealand. I emailed the owners, they accepted the offer, and I was able to tell the overjoyed buyers that they had bought a house on Christmas Day!’

Best AG moment – ‘A retired doctor came to look at a retirement flat that we were selling, and told me that downsizing from his large house was going to be difficult for him. He and his family needed help, so I arranged for an auctioneer to advise on some of his furniture, and for a local expert on organising and de-cluttering homes to visit the family. Cataloguing and packing the contents of the house took several months, but when the house was finally ready for sale I sold it on the first day, and for more than the asking price! It was so nice to be able to help this lovely gentleman to make his move without too much worry and stress, and to see him settled in his new home.’
